Viewership stats, December 28, 2009. The first videos were put online in 2007 and received about 2000 views. For the most part, the numbers below are for 2008 and 2009. This is for all videos on Youtube, Break.com, Metacafe.com, Blip.tv and Sevenload.com OK, first, the grand total for all internet views for all the short movies I have made: 57,649. The movies are also linked through Gawkk, Buzznet, Facebook, and other video sites as well. Roger Dodger, The Antiques Toadshow, Stunt Baby, Cow Talk and Cam Girl have been broadcast twice on the Moviola network. The actual stats for this extra viewership is unknown, but a VERY conservative estimate of 5000 views for them all is included below. (It could be 50,000!) If you add the conservative estimate of 5000 noted above you get 62,649 views. In addition, Cam Girl was sent to over 130 film festivals, and if each festival has a panel of 5 judges that is another 650 views. It was screened in 11 cities and if 200 saw it at each screening, that is another 2200. This brings the total to at least 65,499 views. Highlights: "Cam Girl" (2005) has been seen by over 20,000 people. "Cam Girl" is watched by about 100 people per day. "My Two Lives" has been seen by about 1400 people since April 2009. "The Soulmate Scene", a practice scene from the upcoming feature film, "Sam and Leah" has been seen by over 2500 people. It was put on youtube in October 07. The grand total of 65,499 includes many short movies, including the trailer and sample scenes for "Sam and Leah" and demo videos and samples of web videos and corporate promo videos. Except for Cam Girl, I have not actually tried very hard to get views. I have recently learned ways of getting more views per day for all of my short movies, and I will be working on that soon. For cast and crew working with me it means yes, your work will be seen! You can send links showing what you have done to others. |
